Project Discovery - Carpentry is a hands on training curriculum which provides marketable skills training for the entry level position of Carpenter's Assistant. Students receive a certificate demonstrating 90 hours of training based on industry standards.
Carpenter's Assistant 2 - Students learn about wood shop safety, carpentry math skills, and lumber manufacturing terms, measuring/marking wood for cutting, and using hand tools/handsaws safely and accurately. Students build a saw horse, prime and paint, plan and build a workbench, learn reflective symmetry, find perimeters and areas, read blueprints, and learn squaring/leveling/plumbing.
