Many internal parts can be recycled.

This Tplus work site collects computer equipment from MPS sites across the district. Students dismantle the equipment and sort the hundreds of parts. Many parts are sent to area recycling centers. In addition to computers, other types of non-functioning electrical appliances are also collected and disamantled. Students learn a variety of employment skills in this worksite, including: work endurance, production speed, accuracy, tool use, materials sorting, identification of computer/electrical parts, and the ability to deconstruct electronic devices.
