Family Outreach Coordinator

  • Responsible for daily transportation coordination and troubleshooting
  • Coordinates additional community buses for “CBI Fridays” (Community-based Instruction on Fridays)
  • Organizes and sets up cultural & community events and opportunities for students & families
  • Keeps families informed of upcoming community & district informational events
  • Helps connect families to school and community resources
  • Provides a variety of student & teacher supports on a daily basis
  • Maintains ongoing connection with students and families

Site Council
The school site council is a group of teachers, parents, classified employees, and students that works with the principal to develop, review and evaluate school improvement programs and school budgets. The members of the site council are generally elected by their peers. Site council works with the school Principal or Administrator to perform those duties delegated to it by the State of Minnesota and the Minneapolis Public Schools Board of Education.
